Set Man Above all Other Creatures

So, here is another journal page, again, I used an old children's book. This page is getting there, but still not one of my favorites.
Kris is working again today, so I'm very bored. We just got season 2 of Rome, but I can't watch it without him, he would kill me! So I'm wasting time on the computer, doing laundry, and trying to clean the house. Does anyone else feel like their house just won't stay clean?
I picked up a few new craft things yesterday that I'm pretty excited about, including some ranger inks that I've been wanting to try, and also some weathered wood crackle medium, hopefully I'll find some inspiration to use them today. Speaking of Ranger inks, I sent pictures of a project I made (the shadow box) to Mr. Tim Holtz http://www.timholtz.com/index.php who is one of my all time favorite artists, and who created several cool products for Ranger, and he said is was great. Problem is it was one of those semi generic responses, so I have no idea if he wrote it or not.
Oh! I forgot to say that I tried crab legs for the first time yesterday! There I was, with a steaming leg in front of me... I pried the thing open and got out this huge enviable piece of meat. I carefully dipped it into the butter and brought it to my mouth.. I hate seafood, but crab legs are so fun to open! It's like it's own little experience! I thought it was going to bring me hours of enjoyment that night! I put it in my mouth with much anticipation, and then...as soon as I bit into it I spit it into my napkin because in the immortal words of my Meme, "It tasted like someone threw up in my mouth!" I feasted on a meal of corn and bread sticks instead, and made up for the missed calories with pie. Gloria, if you're reading this, your mom can sure cook!
But anyway, I hope every ones day is going well. I'll talk to you later.
Christy
